The World Robot Olympiad in Zimbabwe is hosted and organized by Girls In STEM Trust . Our mission is to help young people develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way. We do this by organizing Robotics and AI competitions in three different categories for students aged 8-18 years.The WRO® theme for 2025 is The Future of Robots. In 2025 , competitors will explore the way robotics can help solve global challenges and improve our lives.

What is WRO?
The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is an international robotics competition that encourages young people to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through robotics challenges.
Who can participate in WRO?
WRO is open to students aged 6 to 18, divided into different categories based on age and experience.
How do I register for WRO?
Registration is done through this link : https://wrozim.co.zw/shop/wro-registration-form/ or through national organizer. You will need to form a team of 3 students , select a category, and complete the registration process before the deadline.
Is WRO open to beginners, or do I need prior experience in robotics?
WRO is open to both beginners and experienced participants. If you’re new to robotics, mentorship and training resources are available to help you get started.
What is the role of a mentor in WRO?
Mentors guide teams by providing technical knowledge, helping with teamwork, and ensuring participants understand competition rules. They do not build the robots but support students in problem-solving.
